Hi, thanks for the tip on a preparing . This site is excellent, I'm glad that we found it. My question today is...... When a dish calls for cashew nuts ground into a paste or chopped, can we use almonds in the same amount? How much water do you soak them in also? Thank you again talk soon.........Jason

Depends which dish it is. If you are using cashew ground in a gravy, use cashew. Otherwise almonds are fine. Almonds are actually more expensive, so people often prefer to use cashews anyway.
