Tadka or Tarka means tempering of food with flavours by adding various seeds (cumin/mustard/fenugreek/fennel/carom etc.) in hot oil and adding to foods, to give them flavour. Mamta Sometimes the word Tarka is used in relation to spicing up a conversation too. |
